Celebrating the opening of a new "front door" to Tom Bradley International Terminal
On April 16, Los Angeles World Airports welcomed Mayor Karen Bass, City of LA officials, BOAC members, representatives from the project's design and construction team and community stakeholders to celebrate the opening of a new "front door" to Tom Bradley International Terminal. The project is one of seven Terminal Vertical Cores opening in phases across the airport's Central Terminal Area and represents a step forward in LAWA's mission to enhance connectivity across LAX.
The newest project isn't just about modernized facilities; it's about community, sustainability and progress. Targeting LEED Silver and CalGreen certifications, the infrastructure showcases LAX’s dedication to sustainability and resilience. And importantly, it created economic opportunities for Angelenos, with nearly 30% of the project team joining from the local workforce.

Austin Commercial is bridging the technology gap for graduating seniors in the Los Angeles Unified School District
While the district provides students with tablets during their high school years, these devices must be returned before graduation, leaving some students without a computer due to financial constraints. Austin Commercial has stepped in to help by offering free laptops to graduating seniors through our laptop donation program. Austin Commercial’s Vice President of Diversity, Simeon Terry, created the initiative to repurpose refurbished laptops that would otherwise go to waste. In June, members of the class of 2024 at Westchester Enriched Sciences Magnet high school received laptops from Austin Commercial, empowering them to pursue their next step in education and career with the tools they need to succeed.
